MARZ Named to Fast Company’s Annual “World’s Most Innovative Companies” List

For over a decade, Fast Company has been at the forefront of innovation, recognizing leaders across all industries known for disrupting the status quo and reframing how we approach challenges and discover solutions. Today, we’re thrilled to share that we’ve earned a coveted spot on the World’s Most Innovative Companies list, being recognized in the Film and Television category for 2023.

The list highlights businesses at the forefront of their respective industries, from advertising to video, that are paving the way for the innovations of tomorrow. As a list-maker, we’re among the companies setting the standards with some of the greatest accomplishments of the modern world.

Since 2018, MARZ has been committed to pushing creative boundaries and delivering innovative solutions to solve problems plaguing Hollywood clients and the VFX industry as a whole. Quality expectations for VFX are constantly rising, but time and budgets aren’t growing at the same pace. We recognized the need for an exponential technology that solved issues of quality, time, cost, and capacity, which led us to the answer of artificial intelligence (AI).

At the beginning of 2023, we launched Vanity AI — the first production-ready, automated, end-to-end AI solution for Hollywood VFX, bringing together the greatest minds in generative AI, computer graphics, and computer vision to make VFX scalable for the first time. Using Vanity AI, VFX teams can deliver large volumes of Hollywood-quality 2D vanity work 300 times faster than the current state of the art. Creating a feature-film-caliber shot is as simple as adjusting sliders on a single frame.

To date, we’ve used Vanity AI internally on over 27 Hollywood productions, saving clients roughly $8 million in costs and shaving nearly 100 weeks off production schedules for shows including Spider-Man: No Way Home, Stranger Things (S4), Gaslit, First Ladies, Being the Ricardos, and others for studios such as Marvel, Disney, Apple TV, Netflix, AMC, and NBC Universal. And now, Vanity AI is available to other VFX teams and artists as a service, with plans for widespread licensing for Hollywood studios and VFX artists later this year.

Being recognized as the most innovative company by Fast Company shows how vital our AI for Hollywood VFX solutions are and the significant impact they’ll have on the industry in the future. Our mission has always been to push creative boundaries and democratize AI for VFX, to help other studios and artists do the same.

And we’re just getting started.

Thank you to Fast Company for this prestigious recognition!
